WHEN YOU SEE IT HOW GOD SEES IT…

I remember when I first started playing AAU Basketball. I walked in the gym and saw girls my age (8th grade) doing behind the back passes, between the leg dribbling, going both left and right handed (layups) and making all types of tough shots. I'm thinking...I can't do any of this!!! Why am I here? The truth of the matter is I was scouted by the head coach who thought I would be a perfect fit for the Lady Seattle Satin Dolls. I was blown away! I was thinking...he sees me playing with these girls? Who came in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the nation? Who traveled to Philadelphia, Oregon, New York, Washington DC, and all of the other states that participated in this elite class of basketball that I only dreamed about at one point. Wow!! How did I end up here? You couldn't have told me this one month or even a week ago. I didn't even know I was being scouted. Talk about shock and awe. But here I am. So now I'm on the team...going to my first practice and of course my first day was a wreck! I missed every shot, got double teamed and the ball stolen from me, forgot the plays, missed layups...so I just walked off the court and sat down feeling defeated. After practice the coach came over to me and said...'I've seen you play, I seen how you've dominated recreation basketball. You are gonna do great in this league. You just have to settle down, learn the patterns and the plays, adjust to your team mates, figure out the flow of the game, and it will all come together. After those words hit my ears, I sat there asking myself, what does he see that I don't because this all seems so hard for me. But after three months of hard work ...and learning during practice ...and applying myself to figuring out the plays ...in addition, the most important part -buying into the vision of who he said I was. I turned out to be exactly who and what he said I would become. And the Seattle Satin Dolls would be AAU national women's basketball champions.

Jeremiah 29:11 - 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Just like my former AAU women's basketball coach told me who and what I could become ...God sees who and what we can become. God, not only sees where we are, but where we could be. He not only sees what we have done already, but he also sees what we can do with His help...what we could become.

You must understand that anything is possible when you're able to see it how God sees it. This is what stepping into purpose and destiny looks like. Buying into who God says you are... so you can become who He has always created you to be. Who you already were from eternity. It's time to step into the real you.
