NEW CLOTHES

The parable of the wedding feast is one of the most misunderstood parables in the Bible. This is the parable that talks about the king inviting people to the wedding feast. Now we see the first group He invited couldn't come so He said,'...invite everyone'.  Now we get to the good part. Let's read the bible starting at verse 11-

“But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. ¹² He asked, ‘How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ The man was speechless.

¹³ “Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

¹⁴ “For many are invited, but few are chosen.”

Now why would the King say that? That sounds cruel! That's Megan Thee Stallion, Savage. Is it really? Let me say two things: First, back in those times the king always provided clothes to the feast for His guests. He was a king and so what you wore had to be appropriate. Next, for the man to not come properly dressed indicated he chose not to wear the king's clothes but chose to wear His own. That's a different level of bold don't you think? To think you can disobey a king without consequences. Are you following me? So what am I saying? A lot of times in life God gives us instructions and provides what we need but instead of obeying God we show up with what we think or someone else thinks God wants. Does this sound like you? If it is we can correct that today. My friend, its time for you to change clothes and go. God invited you to your Jeremiah 29:11 and provided everything you needed. He gave you specific instructions. Whether or not  you will attain or lose out determines if you not only heard the call; but chose to obey the Lord and do what He told you to. Stop listening to those false voices and put on the right clothes in your mind and spirit and go celebrate with the King. Today is a great day to step into the feast full of obedience locked into your Jeremiah 29:11.
