TEAM MINISTRY

The number two has such a strong biblical meaning. The bible mentions the establishing of a truth by two in (Deut. 17:6) Male and female is a marriage of two. (Genesis 2:24) Paul and Silas are two. So the number two symbolizes God's grace and opportunity for a fresh start. It's also the number by which unity, growth, and redemption come. The Hebrew word for two is 'Bet'- it signifies division, duality,  double witness, (double portion), and the concept of a household because its two that makes a house. One of the expressions of this number is in it's complimentary nature. God puts things together to compliment each other. So they don't necessarily have to be the same thing. They can be the opposite things with the same goals. God puts things together understanding balance, cooperation, diplomacy, are all important in these types of ministry relationships. Jesus even sent out the disciples out by two's. Sometimes we don't need a team of people just your partner in ministry. Sometimes God has just called the two. We never see God put together large teams in the bible. He trained in the mass but they went out, they went out by two's. Have you considered God had a ministry partner for you? Not someone to take over your ministry but to compliment it. The power of two puts ten thousand to flight according to (Romans 12:18).  When God decides to launch you in ministry he pairs you up with another ministry or person who also has a similar ministry. This is the biblical pattern.  It's a team of two not of five, not ten, or twenty. If you find yourself all alone but God has called you into your own Jeremiah 29:11 it's not to submit to another ministry but to find your team member. If you're married that's your team. If you're not God has your team member waiting. Watch and pray for God's design. God backs what He has orchestrated and ordained not what people tell us to do and what we comply with.
