WHAT BREAKTHROUGH LOOKS LIKE

Then the word of the Lord came to Elijah: “Leave here, turn eastward and hide in the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan. You will drink from the brook, and I have directed the ravens to supply you with food there.” So he did what the Lord had told him. He went to the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan, and stayed there. The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook. Some time later the brook dried up because there had been no rain in the land. Then the word of the Lord came to him: “Go at once to Zarephath in the region of Sidon and stay there. I have directed a widow there to supply you with food.”

1 Kings 17:2-8

Each year at my conference we have a list at the registration table that has the names of everyone who has already prepaid online as well as those who are our guests. This list is so that when they arrive they can check in and gain entrance without registering again. Last year we had someone attend the conference who hadn't registered who I hadn't spoken to in almost over a year. Apparently, as they were in line they looked at our guest list and saw some people with the same last name as theirs. So when it was their turn at the registration table, they told the registration personnel that I had put them and their family on this list, (which I absolutely did not) and they pointed out the names, although my staff wasn't convinced for whatever reason...and rightfully so,  they allowed them to come in without registering. Now someone from the registration table came to try to reach me to verify this information while it was happening  but I was upfront already speaking. During one of our testimony times as I was seated staff finally caught up with me and told me the issue. We caught up with them later on after the event and they eventually paid registration about two weeks later. What is my point? My first point is breakthrough is assigned. Just like God gave Elijah instructions where to go and who to go to for his next, He does the same for those He sends. All throughout scripture when God sends His servants He assigns their next. It's not a gamble. It's not a competition. It's not a vote. So when people assign themselves and are not willing to pay for a breakthrough that God has assigned to someone else that's an integrity issue. That's lying. That's stealing. Yes, that's theft. And sadly there are some in the kingdom willing to assume positions they've not qualified for nor have been assigned to them. Think about it, if God can't trust you to not try to swap out someones identity, why would He put you over others to represent Him? Your character and behavior already proves you will steal and misrepresent if given the opportunity. It took us two weeks of back and forth with someone who claimed to be a leader and believer for them to finally correct the situation and settle registration. My friends, if you want to know what breakthrough from the Lord looks like...its specific and detailed and has your name on it. When God gives you a word with specifics for your Jeremiah 29:11 pursue it with everything in you. God has a destination that He needs you to reach. It's your destiny. Stepping in your destiny isn't selfish it's actually selfless. Just like Elijah, you are the one God assigned to stop the drought and save the nation...but only if you get in the proper position. My friends, it's time to take your assigned stations, give people back their identity and do what God has called you to do so His nation can see rain. You won't have a crowd following and going with you all throughout every stage. Their stage is...to wait for the rain. Today is a wonderful day to step out into your Jeremiah 29:11. We need you friend. We need rain.
