WHY DOES THE ENEMY ATTACK ME?

Today in this devotion I want to answer a question that I've been asked it seems like a million times. It's actually a very good question. So lets get into it. The question is, 'why when you get born again ...they mean receive Jesus as your Lord and savior...does life seem so much harder? Thanks for that question... Let me answer you this way. It's another question but I think it will help bring clarity. So...If you were a bear hunter and you saw a dead bear would you shoot it? No, of course not. It's already dead. Hunters go after what's alive. This same concept applies. The devil never goes after what's already dead. Because what's already dead is already his and is no threat to him or his kingdom. But when you are made alive through Christ Jesus by receiving your born again spirit he then now becomes active. Why? 1 Peter 5:8  reveals the devil is our adversary. He now becomes a relentless predator. Because hunters hunt what's alive. So once you've made Jesus your Savior and Lord then you've picked up an enemy, who is Jesus enemy. But the good news is Jesus defeated this enemy so all we need to do is follow the pattern that Jesus left for us to defeat the devil. Isn't that awesome. So this is the very 1st step to your destiny. This is how you lock into your Jeremiah 29:11.  And your Jeremiah 29:11 is filled with moments of training and victory if you don't let the battle and the chase of the enemy stop you. God believes in you and I believe in you too. Today is a great day to lock into the victory and embrace the battle. You are alive in Christ Jesus, you are more than a conqueror, and you have a destiny and a people waiting to see you win! Today is a great day to go and win.
