"In those days Israel had no king; everyone did as they saw fit."

Judges 21:25

There were two women who applied for a job. They both knew each other. Both women lied about their age on their job application. Both women got hired. One was hired to HR. Another was hired as an outside specialist. The company was in the process of downsizing as well and so they needed to eliminate a few more employees. So they began going through each workers application and credentials to see how they can make each position more flexible hereby eliminating those employees with only one skill set. This way that would fit the company's needs so then they can keep the employees with multiple skill sets so that they can continue to be efficient and effective. The application of the outside specialist came to the attention of the other woman who was recently hired in HR. She noticed that on her application she lied about her age. She brought this to the attention of the company and they told her that they knew but decided to hire her anyways. She was visibly upset but finished work and went home. When she returned to work the next day a representative from the company met her out front and handed her a check and told her they decided to let her go. She was very upset and asked why and they told her that she lied on her application. She bowed her head turned around and walked out of the office disappointed and crying. Isn't it funny how when her friend lied about her age she wanted her fired, but she never mentioned that she lied about her age? Many times we often do this in life... judging according to our own standards. Because our sins look worse on other people. Excusing our sins but pointing out someone else's ...but friend this is just a symptom. The real issue is without consulting God and His wisdom, we are all doomed to make the wrong decisions even for the right reasons. Learning how to lock into your Jeremiah 29:11 is the way God trains us for everything in life. Because becoming our own judge puts us in places where we have to exercise biases and preferences that may fit our needs but they never situate us to encompass the need of the nation we are called to serve. It's only when we get locked into our Jeremiah 29:11, which is our path that God has designed, that He is able to train us and expand us so that eventually we pass and keep adding those things God needs to add until we expand. My friend, now is not the time to lose heart or stray from your Jeremiah 29:11.  Because not only is God faithful He is also able and rewards those who abide in His truth. Today is a great day to remember God chose you because He needed you and He is trusting you to take His counsel and keep it moving. Remember friends heaven and earth is waiting for you to step into your new. I believe in you. So does God.
