For by grace you are saved through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

Ephesians 2:8

I worked at Boys & Girls Clubs for many years. As God was training me back in the early 2000's He needed me to understand two things. So He placed a lesson in the form of two kids. Let me explain. There were two kids in my after school group. The first kid, he comes in everyday asking the same question no matter what. He would ask...can I hang my coat up? I would tell him yes. Then he would ask, can I wash my hands? I would tell him yes. Then he would ask...can I have snack? I would tell him yes. Then he would ask...can I go outside? I would tell him yes. Now this was the protocol. All the kids knew it. All the kids did it without asking except this kid.  Every day this kid came in and asked these same questions. It bothered our director so much she would walk over to him and try to beat him to the punch by saying, 'You do these things everyday. You don't have to ask permission to do things you already have permission to do. But that never stopped him.  The next kid, she had no sense of boundaries. She would walk in every day, hang up her coat, go wash her hands, and dive into the snacks. We literally had to have someone at the table to stop her from taking and eating everyone else's snacks. What's the lesson? There are two things God won't do. What He's already done and what he asked you to do. When we talk about walking out our Jeremiah 29:11  we understand Jesus finished it all at the cross. The word saved in the Greek in Ephesians 2:8 means -Sozo - basically a completed work past, present, and future. Even though the work is completed some still ask God to do what He is already done or what He's asked us to do. The difference is those who don't understand God completed His part will be beggars and ask for things already granted or expect God to do things He asked us to do. But those who understand the finished work will walk in faith and confidence knowing their Jeremiah 29:11 was already granted. My friends, God expects us to learn the new covenant that He made for us so that we can move from begging to overcoming. Today is a great day for focus and fruitfulness. God has trusted you to birth a nation. Learn your own Jeremiah 29:11. God did His part and He is trusting you to do yours. Have an awesome day.
