CRYSTAL SHERIE - March 25th, 2025
There was a little boy who begged his dad to go to Disneyland. This little boy loved the world of Disney especially the car character Mater, from the movie, Cars. One day the boys dad came home and told him he was taking him to Disneyland for spring break. The little boy was so excited and counted down the days. When spring break arrived the family flew to California and then finally made it to Disneyland. The boys eyes were huge as he looked at everything. The first thing he noticed though, was that although the amusement park was packed with food, fun, and rides, everything was so far away. So after a few rides the little boy was tired of walking. His dad seeing this dilemma lifted his son up and put the little boy on his shoulders and began to carry him. But, the dad noticed the little boy was scared. He was so scared that he was squeezing his dad's head so tight that the dad had to stop and tell him to let go. The little boy told his dad he was afraid of falling. His dad told the little boy that he wouldn't fall because he was holding him while he was sitting on his shoulders. Although it took a moment to convince him, the little boy finally let go of his dad's head. And when he did, he saw that his dad really was holding him while he was sitting on his shoulders. The fear of being picked up and placed on his dad's shoulders, which was an unfamiliar and much higher place is what caused the little boy to fear, even though he was in the arms of one of the safest people in his life. My friend let me ask you this? How many of us are just like that little boy when God places us at a new level or trusts us with our new or extended assignments? How many of us let fear grip us to the degree that we begin to lose confidence in everything God told us because we aren't familiar with the place or the height? How many of us let people talk us out of what God has assured us? How many times have we let well meaning friends and family or even people we love talk to us and talk us out of our Jeremiah 29:11? This is not uncommon and happens to many people. If this is you, God is saying to you today don't throw away your confidence. I started the work in you and I'm going to finish the work with and in you. I just need you to trust me. Once you let go of that fear factor, whatever it may be and obey me, by faith you'll see that not only did I have you but I had you the whole time. For those under the sound of my voice I prophesy to you that, not only does God have you, He is going to help you do everything He told you. Pick up your confidence.
