THE FRAMEWORK IS TRUTH

This morning I want to go back to a phrase that I keep saying throughout my devotions here in March.  I keep saying. 'Faith and fear are both asking you to do the same thing. Faith is asking you to believe in something that hasn't happened yet. And fear is also asking you to believe in something that hasn't happened yet. But there is a difference. The difference is our faith has a framework. That framework is the truth, which is Jesus Christ. Another way of saying this is, we are acknowledging Jesus role as our pattern and our mediator. This is the key to our faith in walking out our Jeremiah 29:11.  For example, God gave the Children of Israel the 10 commandments for faith. So how they are supposed to express faith is by walking out the 10 commandments. Then He gave the world Jesus Christ for faith. So how we're supposed to express faith is being conformed to the image and pattern of Jesus. So lets recap -when God wants us to have  faith He gives us His knowledge which is (truth). That's why He gave us Jesus.  And knowledge, which again is (truth), is how we express our faith. So through Christ is how we express our faith and move into our Jeremiah 29:11. So God wants us to reciprocate the truth He has given us back to Him, for whatever He has asked us to have the faith for. So what does that look like? Now let me pause...yeah I know, we tell people...just have faith...just have faith...but we should also tell them what that really looks like. The difference is fear doesn't have enough truth about what God knows. So this means when I fear something I don't have enough of God's knowledge...which is truth... about the situation. And let me tell you, with all of our friends and loved ones..even our trusted voices...if they don't have what God knows about any situation they will sometimes unwittingly lead us down the road of fear. My friends, as you pursue your Jeremiah 29:11 be sure that your framework of truth is intact. Because faith is walking out what God knows about your life not other people. We praise God for our pattern and design of Jesus Christ. Have faith in God.
