So Naaman went with his horses and chariots and stopped at the door of Elisha’s house. Elisha sent a messenger to say to him, “Go, wash yourself seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed.”  But Naaman went away angry and said, “I thought that he would surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, wave his hand over the spot and cure me of my leprosy.

2Kings 5:9-11

Have you ever expected one thing from God but instead something different happened? And not only was it different, you were like, but I thought God would surely do this thing a different way. I've put in all of these years for you God, I have been ministering for over 50yrs, I give my tithes, I'm so highly decorated in the kingdom...and you mean, God you would do it this way? If you've ever felt that way you're not alone. Naaman felt that way as well. See Naaman was a man of great importance in the old testament and he went to go see the prophet Elisha to be healed of leprosy,  because his wife's slave girl said, Elisha does miracles. But when he arrived at Elisha's house, Elisha sent out his servant with instructions for Naaman. But instead of receiving the instructions Naaman got offended. As I began to meditate on this I was thinking could there be another issue? I did some research and found out that Elisha knew Naaman to be a proud man. And that was my Ahh-haa moment. Sometimes our deliverance is connected a heart issue. In Naaman's case it was his ego. See, Naaman had one deliverance in mind but God had another deliverance in mind. By Elisha's servant giving Naaman the instructions God knew Naaman would have a choice. He would either get delivered from both his physical ailment and his ego. Or he wouldn't be delivered at all. Does that sound like any of us today? I know I've had some moments where I thought God should've did something differently but He didn't. It wasn't until I came to the place that Naaman found himself that I realized two things: First, God knew better than I did. And finally, choose my friends wisely. Because if you continue to read 2 Kings Chapter 5, Naaman was so offended at the way God decided to heal him he almost missed his miracle. But thank God one of his friends was able to reason with him and he followed the instructions and got healed. My friends, if or when God decides to send your answer be sure that you're open to God's solution. And if all else fails at least have wise counsel so that if you miss it God has put somebody in your circle who won't. Today is a great day for a restart....your healing and greatness awaits.
